CBD for muscle relaxation is a topic that has been building momentum. Clinical research on CBD has uncovered increasing evidence on how the body’s endocannabinoid system can enhance muscle responses to fatigue and stress. We’ll share what’s being studied and how it’s being used. Much will be discovered as research is increased and practical knowledge starts to come forth.
One of the great things people say about CBD is how much it reduces their inflammation, thus their pain. As we discuss this in our podcast, we hope to enlighten those that need to recover from strenuous exercise. We also want to explore the area of muscle relaxation because for some, this is where their first focus.
Our special guest Shaun Lena from Peak Nutrition in Phoenix, AZ shares his thoughts and knowledge on the topic. Originally from Sussex, WI – Moved to Arizona in 2017. NASM Certified Nutrition Coach Former collegiate baseball player Competed in bodybuilding for 3 years Head Coach of Peak Nutrition (oversee operations of both store locations) Position Statement: Peak Nutrition understands the importance of muscle recovery when it comes to helping people reach their fitness goals. Whether you want to lose body fat, build muscle or just live a healthy lifestyle, recovery is essential for proper body function. All too often, the foundational idea of muscle recovery is overlooked resulting in physical and mental stress on the body. Mental and physical fatigue is becoming more common in individuals and this is why we are seeing the overuse of stimulants (energy drinks, pre-workouts, etc). Rather than covering up these issues (with short-term solutions), focusing on the source of the issue will create much better long-term solutions.
