5 Tips For Starting A Podcast

5 Tips for Starting a Podcast

Want to start a new podcast? If you’ve ever thought about it, here are some tips to help you.

1 – Know your voice – know what you want to say and what value you bring to the Podcast space. When we started The CBD-ED Show, we weren’t sure we were qualified to host anything, let alone a nationally broadcast talk show. But one thing we knew for certain was that people wanted to know more about CBD. They wanted to understand how it works and what to buy. We knew we could learn so much about the subject. We also knew we wanted to relate to people in a “real talk” format. Something that seemed accessible to everyone so they could feel comfortable.

2 – Find out where you want your podcast to be recorded and how it will be shared with the world. This was one of the hardest parts of starting the show. However, we were smart enough to trust a company that knew how to start up a podcast and make it successful. Learning so much about what it takes to start a podcast, we went with a reputable company to help us. This might not have been the least expensive way to go, we know but it was the best way for us to get started. Follow our link to our VoiceAmerica channel.

3- Create your visuals – your show logo along with a color scheme and a great photo of you! With so many great resources to create visual impact, this might be the easiest part of starting a podcast.

4 – Be open to new possibilities – do your research – make sure you know what you want to say and stick to it. Outlines are great for this. Most importantly – edit, edit, edit. Rambling on does not make a great podcast. Concise and clear discussions on your topics are the most easily absorbed by listeners. They stay engaged and learning.

5 – Start working on your guest list. This is the hardest part for me. I don’t really have time to search out people who are experts in the space, so I have chosen just to ask people when I meet them if they’ve ever wanted to be a guest on a podcast? It works!

Once you know you are diving into the podcast space, take time to do your homework and then enjoy the ride. I’m so glad I chose to take the leap and now I’m able to share all the valuable information I have learned over the years. I’ve also met some pretty amazing people along the way.

Take a listen here and see what you think about our podcast. We hope it’s helping as many people as possible.

Shea butter is used for all-natural skin care. It’s thick, creamy consistency makes it perfect for using as a lip balm or to help soothe chapped skin. The best way to apply shea butter is by massaging into dry areas of the body such as elbows, knees, feet etc. You should not rub too hard though, because if done incorrectly then you may cause irritation.
